Webster Groves Holiday Tree Lighting

On Saturday November 15, 2014, people gathered at Gazebo Park in Webster Groves for the lighting of the Holiday Tree.  As a light snow was falling, and holiday songs were being sung, the lights went on in the Old Orchard business district at 5pm.  The Mayor, Gerry Welch, the City Manager, the present and past Directors of Planning, representatives from the Webster Groves Park’s Department and Public Works, the Old Orchard Business Association, and the Old Orchard Special Business District were there to celebrate the event.

In addition, The Missouri chapter of the American Planning Association presented an award to Mayor Welch and the City of Webster Groves, declaring Old Orchard as a “Great Neighborhood”, based on the National APA awards for Great Places.

Pacific Place Retirement Community and the Old Orchard Gallery are proud of our Old Orchard neighborhood location and we enjoy seeing our residents using and enjoying this Great Place.
